The logo font — I didn’t want to go with the usual sans-serif oh-so-cool and modern Ariel, Helvetica, and their offspring (although I did opt to keep it simple in the rest of the site’s headings). My feeling is that Monterey County and California—not to mention my life—is awash with the explorations and experiments of “history” and the baroque (hauled up through the border via Mexico, Latin America, the Philippines, Spain, etc.) So, yes, it’s phospor green, it’s serifed, and looks a little like something detailed on the side of a car. Got a problem with that?
