First Friday, National Steinbeck Center in Salinas

First Friday in July will Entertain you with Dance, Music, and Art

SALINAS, CA– On Friday, July 5, 2013, the National Steinbeck Center presents First Friday FREE from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at 1 Main Street in Salinas, CA. All are welcomed to enjoy great music, dance performance, and to engage with local artists. Enjoy our concessions stand with soft drinks, water and wine for sale. The evening will include:


5:15 – 6:00 PM

The Dance Troupe is a locals’ favorite. They have been touring and performing in Barcelona, Spain and Paris, France this summer and return to the Central Coast to perform a few numbers for our enjoyment.


6:00 – 7:00 PM

The Art Walker Band is composed of a group of friends who have played at ‘Art Walks” for a number of years. They will delight the audience with Folk music, Bluegrass, and Rock & Roll.


5:30 – 8:00 PM

Artist Ink was created by eight local artists who were raised in the heart of the Salinas Valley and are graduates of Alisal High School with a distinct passion and love for their art. They work with East Salinas children at the Alisal Center for the Fine Arts Building. They will display their students’ work in the form of pictures, movies and paintings.
