National Steinbeck Center: Holiday Toy Giveaway this Friday — Salinas

Salinas, Calif. – On Friday, December 21, 2012, The National Steinbeck Center along with the Cabrera and Pedersen Families, will be hosting a “Toy Giveaway Event” from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Alisal Union School District office, located at 1205 E. Market Street in Salinas.

We hope to put a smile on 1,000 children who otherwise may not receive a toy this holiday season.

We chose the heart of the Alisal Community because this is where you find the highest poverty level in our city.

The National Steinbeck Center works very hard throughout the year in reaching out to the youth in our community with many inspirational and cultural programs. For more information about all the programming, visit or call 831-775-4721.
