I have to admit this is news to me: a new Watsonville to Davenport rail line has just been inaugurated, according to a report in the Santa Cruz Sentinel, “Hundreds climb aboard for inaugural train ride up the coast.” So, starting Nov. 23rd, they’ll have a “Train to Christmastown” schedule, with prices to match (see below). But what I want to know is if and when the train will be available for commuting, and what the cost will be.
WHAT: Hourlong, holiday-themed train ride takes passengers from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and back.
WHEN: 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4:15 p.m., 5:45 p.m., 7:15 p.m. Friday-Nov. 25, Nov. 28-30, Dec. 1-2, 5-9, 12-16, 19-23, 27-30, and Jan. 4-6 (times subject to change)
WHERE: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, 400 Beach St., Santa Cruz
COST: $35 for adults, $25 for children 2-12, free for children under 2
