Beans & Bread

At home today M. is preparing food for lunch and dinner. We have pinto beans soaking, for pork and beans tonight…

…and we have a couple loaves of whole-grain wheat bread, just out of the oven, which we had with butter and blackberry jam, accompanied by cups of black gunpowder tea. What can I say? I’m lucky to live with someone who loves to cook and is good at it.

Tonight is a meat night; we only eat meat twice a week; but when we do, we’re serious about it. I’ll post a photo of dinner this evening.
